Committee to Protect Bloggers

A Committee to Protect Bloggers has been set up. Has a few helpful links at its sidebar as well, namely Bloggers Without Borders, The Bloggers' Rights Blog, and Internet in Asia.

After all, cases of bloggers being fired from their company or inadvertently getting into trouble with the local media have surfaced previously - all because they were merely expressing their opinions online via their respective blogs.

An excerpt from Bloggers Without Borders:

"Bloggers without Borders is a citizen journalism hub, dedictated to raising conscience for, and about, events around the world. We use the tools and exposure of modern citizen journalism as a means to lend a hand in the creation of awareness and outbound information management."
